This playset for youngsters is practically an air force in a box, with six flying model World War II fighters—the British Tempest, German Messerschmitt, Japanese Zero, and the American Thunderbolt, Corsair, and Hellcat. Colourfully printed with authentic profiles and paint schemes on die-cut laminated foam panels, the models simply slot together, while the nose weights include free-spinning plastic propellers that, when launched into the air, give the illusion of powered flight. The completed models each measure at least 5½ inches long with a wingspan of 6 inches or more.
